For over three decades, Hess & Hunt, Inc. Nutrition Communications has been providing insightful, timely professional nutrition expertise to business, industry and government. We believe that positive food choices can improve the quality of life and health of people of all ages. Thus, our mission is to translate scientific jargon and conflicting nutrition information into language ordinary mortals can understand and use to make informed food decisions.

A nationally recognized leader in nutrition communications, Hess & Hunt has developed more than 30 educational programs and brochures, created numerous recipes and menus, spoken to hundreds of audiences, appeared regularly on radio and television, and provided leadership to professional, educational and charitable organizations. In addition, we have authored eleven books (many of them award winners), written more than 75 articles in professional journals and the popular press, and testified before congressional committees on important nutrition issues.

Mary Abbott Hess, LHD, MS, RD, LDN, FAND now provides consulting and speaking services as a partner in Culinary Nutrition Associates She is also a partner in Culinary Nutrition Publishing and co-author of Essentials of Nutrition for Chefs and Portion Photos of Popular Foods. Hess & Hunt continues to publish the Review of Dietetics: Manual for the Registered Dietitian Exam. The 2014-2016 edition is now available. We are proud that previous editions have helped thousands pass the exam to become registered dietitians.
